Meeting

I am hesitant to meet students under the age of 16 alone, but there are options.

  1. Online tutoring via Zoom. See here to learn how to join a zoom meeting.
  2. A lot of students seem to do better in person. We can meet at a public neutral place, ideally a library.
  3. If neither of those are suitable, we can meet at your home with a parent present.
  4. After we grow comfortable with each other, I many consider meeting with a student alone.

Contact

You can't put phone numbers and email addresses on web sites because evil robots will find them and sell them. But never fear. Click on the email button on the menu bar and send me a message that way. I'll get back to you.

Payment

I charge a fixed rate of $25/hour, trying to balance my belief that everyone is entitled to education with my need to eat. There are several ways to go about it.

Payment is due at time of service.

Brain Bit

Tianmen Mountain, literally "Heaven's Gate Mountain" in China has this unusual gate-shaped opening in it, and is one of China's biggest tourist attractions. These stairs are only at the top; you have to climb 1279 meters (4196 feet) over a distance of several kilometers to get there, unless you want to take the cable car. The original Tianmenshan Temple at the top was built during the Tang dynasty, but I new temple was built in the first part of the 20th century.
